​Heliot Zarza

Degree in Biology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. His postgraduate studies course at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (Master of Science and Doctorate in Biological Sciences). His research work focuses on the study of communities of small mammals and big cats in central and southeastern Mexico. It belongs to the National Level I Research System. It teaches ecology, information systems and conservation sciences at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the Autonomous Metropolitan University and the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He is currently Full-time Professor-Researcher "C" of the Department of Environmental Sciences, Metropolitan Autonomous University Lerma Unit.

 

Research interests:


Ecology of mammal communities.
Climate change and Biodiversity.
Identification of priority areas for conservation.
Environmental impact and ecological order
