Erik Joaquín Torres Romero
Erik Joaquin holds a M.Sc from the College of the South Border in Mexico and a Ph.D from the University of Alcalá in Spain and with 2-years postdoc between Mexico and Spain. His research focuses on GIS modeling of biogeographic and macroecological patterns, landscape connectivity for the conservation of vertebrates to understanding how human impacts affect the biodiversity and extinction risks at different spatial scales. He have collaborated with excellent research groups on animal ecology, macroecology and conservation in Mexico, Europe, Canada and United States. Erik Joaquin has joined to Wildlife Ecology and Conservation Laboratory, where he is collaborating with different projects focused on the conservation of biodiversity.
