María Zamudio

She studied Philosophy at the Autonomous University of Nayarit. She completed a Master's Degree in Science for Development, Sustainability and Tourism (2016-2018) and is a doctoral student in Social Sciences at the Autonomous University of Nayarit, being a CONACyT scholarship holder in both degrees. She's a member of the Alianza Nacional para la Conservacion del Jaguar and participates in various research projects in the socio-environmental line. She's the author and co-author of scientific and popular articles, and an illustrated children's book about jaguars in the mangrove ecosystem in Nayarit, Mexico. She currently collaborates as a social research assistant in the Amigos de Calakmul project led by Dr. Gerardo Ceballos..
