He studied Biology and postgraduate studies at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo. He has developed in projects focused on the conservation of endangered species such as the Mexican wolf (Canis lupus baileyi), for more than 10 years.
He has worked as a monitoring technician in the project "Reintroduction of the Mexican gray wolf (Canis lupus Baileyi) in the state of Chihuahua".
He has also worked on projects aimed at promoting non-lethal predator deterrence strategies in conjunction with the Arizona Game and Fish Department and the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro. He worked as Field Officer in the United Nations Development Program's "Species at Risk: Mexican Wolf" project, managing the conflict between economic activities such as cattle ranching and the free-living population of the Mexican Wolf. He has also developed livestock production alternatives (organic livestock), which focus on raising the quality and profitability of livestock in the northwestern region of Chihuahua while promoting the conservation of the Mexican Wolf. He is currently the coordinator of the La Pradera Biological Station (UNAM) and manages the conservation of Perritos Llaneros (Cynomys ludovicianus) in the Janos Biosphere Reserve.
