I have been a professor of systematics and biogeography for the Bachelor of Biology at the Faculty of Sciences of UNAM for 23 years. My area of expertise is the systematics and conservation of amphibians and reptiles, I have carried out various projects aimed at assessing the conservation status of the populations of this group of vertebrates that face direct threats to their survival in Mexico. In addition, I have worked with other members of the laboratory in different environmental impact studies as a specialist in herpetology for over 20 years, also publishing several articles related to vertebrate conservation issues, being my main contribution in this regard, my contribution to the elaboration of the base study of the Janos-Casas Grandes area that culminated in the decree of said biosphere reserve. Currently I'm co-editor of the book "Mexican species of amphibians and reptiles in danger of extinction" that is about to be published.
