Avril Carranza Kuster
I got my grade in philosophy at Universidad Iberoamericana. As a philosopher, I have always been interested in the human-nature relationship and the place of the animal in the western imaginary. Therefore, my research topic is about the concept of animal, how it is rooted in the culture and why the ethics that advocate the conservation of nature do not have the expected impact. Currently I collaborate in the Wildlife Ecology and Conservation Laboratory as an editor. This work helps me soak up information about what is happening today, in terms of conservation, and how that information can be disseminated in other areas besides the scientific one. In the future I would like to continue spreading, in all possible ways, the work of ecology and the importance of its research in an era that is facing an environmental crisis.
